POSTPONED NEW DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCE SOON
We are always working with ancestral healing in this space and also connecting our roots back to the Mitochondrial Eve. At the upcoming ceremony we will cultivate our ancestral roots through awakening vivid presence in our senses. Our intention is rebirth, renewal and jubilee.
How easy is it to forget to greet the spring with vivid presence? How often do we forget to give ourselves the space to fully acknowledge that which died within us in the winter, while stepping reverently into what is alive in us as we bloom with the Earth. Spring time is a time where the electricity and magic of new life is vivid. In this cacao ceremony we will be sharpening our senses and ability to appreciate the rising new life around us through aroma therapy, anointing oils and somatic movement experiences that encourage a heightened subtle sensory awareness.
About this journey space:
Mitochondrial Eve, or The Great African Mother, is within us all. Access to a healed and integrated connection with her energy is vital to the sacred remembrance of our Human family as a liberated species. In this ceremony, we will practice cultivating a connection with the original mother code through the alchemical and synergistic space created by our communion with a ceremonial cacao blend of Dominican Republic Cacao, African blue lotus, and maya nut, somatic-introspective activations, and therapeutic sound. In this space, you will be held reverently to process and release inter-generational trauma, unearth a greater capacity to receive wisdom through your body's whisper, and gain greater access to yourself as an authentically embodied force of life.
This is a space to cultivate:
What does it mean to bring decolonization work into our healing process?
Decolonization work is for every person of every lineage who lives in the Westernized world. Decolonization work is not just about outer systems of politics, policy, and institutionalization.
Decolonization work is also about our inner systems, our physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual bodies. It's about remembering our birthrights and reclaiming ourselves as sovereign territory.
How colonization shows up in our bodies:
The colonizer IS trauma IS the inner and outer critic IS the pain body
When it comes to our inner systems and our mental, physical, and spiritual health, the colonizer we must address is the one that lives within. For some, this voice is loud. For others, it's very subtle. Some call this voice the inner critic, some call it the shadow, some call it expectation, some call it stress, and some call it should. It has many names, but the effects are all the same. It blocks you from accessing your full, energetic potential; it keeps you bogged down in stress, tension, shame, guilt, and self-doubt and ruled by attachment instead of liberation in authenticity. In this ceremony, we will begin liberating your body and deepening your connection to the authentic urge that is your true natural essence. Your God-given birthright.
The significance of our ceremonial cacao paste blend:
The cacao used in this ceremony comes from the Dominican Republic, the first country Christopher Columbus colonized in 1492. This cacao holds the energetic signature of that event and simultaneously holds medicine for the colonized heart. Cacao is a heart opener and intention amplifier. In this ceremony, we will be working with it to encourage our hearts to open bravely and honestly so that we can connect with the origin codes of our human family, The Great African Mother, Mitochondrial Eve.
African Blue Lotus- Visionary Euphoric Psychic protection Ancestral Vision Questing
Blue lotus is a beautiful aquatic plant native to the muddy shallow waters of the Nile River in Egypt. Although it is called a lotus, it is actually a lily and is sometimes called 'the blue water lily,' 'sacred blue lily of the Nile, ' and 'Egyptian lotus.'
Ancient cultures worked with blue lotus for medicinal purposes and spiritual alignment, given the plant's ability to alter consciousness. The usages and meanings of Blue Lotus multiplied as it spread across Africa and Asia. Today, herbalists commonly use the plant for its ability to relieve anxiety, improve sleep, and target inflammation. For our ceremonial purpose, we will be working with Blue Lotus to support us in connecting to the ancestral realms and The Great African Mother.
Maya Nut – Grounding Nourishment
Maya Nut is the seed of an ancient and giant tropical rainforest tree, Brosimum alicastrum, in the fig family. Maya Nut is a component of prehispanic cultures' diet, they protected it because of its significance. The Maya Nut tree was the dominant species of tropical dry forest from northern Mexico to Northern Brazil, Jamaica, Cuba, and Trinidad, covering vast swaths of land from the mountains to the lowlands. Maya Nut has historically been used by native people and traditional healers of these lands to treat a wide variety of ailments. Maya Nut is very rich in minerals, Calcium, Magnesium, and Potassium. Because of this, Maya Nut can help to alkalize the body, prevent or mitigate joint ailments, accelerate the healing process for broken bones, and keep bones strong. In our ceremonial blend, Maya Nut acts as a grounding agent, balancing the caffeine in the cacao and anchoring the visionary power of blue lotus, supporting you to journey through the body, not the mind.
Can't drink cacao? No worries! We got you! An alternative Rose, Blue Lotus based elixir will be provided for Voyagers who can not consumer cacao for medical or dietary sensitivity reasons.
